Elemental

Scattered along the edge of the River Tawe, along the border of the SA1 Swansea Marina expansion, lie what is probably my favourite city artwork. Its presence, amongst the boulders which rise from the Tawe's shoreline, demonstrates perfectly Swansea's aim of transforming the city's landscape with art. This particular artwork features engravings in the broken rock that depict various aspects of nature, curious designs and elemental symbols. Amongst their number are the following:

Cu - The Element Symbol of copper

C - The Element Symbol of Carbon

Fe - The Element Symbol of Iron

Verdis in the Rain

The weather was a bit rainy whilst at Verdi's this evening...

It was still nice and cosy inside though. The food there was, as ever, delicious, and the service was extraordinarily fast. And the views from the restaurant/ice-cream parlour, even in the rain are spectacular.
